Neck Pain With Physiotherapy

How Neck Pain Occur?

Many of the problems associated with neck pain can be traced back to a poor posture or to a spinal cord injury that has resulted in subluxation of the neck or cervical spine, or it may even be caused by some underlying medical conditions.

How To Treat Neck Pain?

By undertaking a physiotherapy treatment program, you will be working with your physiotherapist to strengthen and realign your neck and cervical spine so that it is properly aligned. When your neck muscles become stronger, they will no longer feel the effects of strain placed on them – thereby reducing the pain that you are feeling and helping you recover quicker.

In addition to strengthening your neck, the physiotherapy treatment will also involve stretching the muscles supporting your neck. During your therapy, your physiotherapist will teach you how to strengthen your neck muscles through a series of exercises, stretches and mobilizations.

Among other conditions, we treat occipital neuralgia, cervical spondylosis and cervical radiculopathy. It can cause severe cervical pain so don’t wait and get therapy right away!

How Long It Takes To Recover From Neck Pain?

Like any injuries, it really depends on a few factors such as the extent of the injury, the underlying condition(s), your ability to recover from an injury, and how long you’ve been living with this injury.

If you take a proactive approach and seek medical attention right away, your chances to recover faster increase. Your physiotherapist will recommend a treatment plan to follow. If you aren’t taking the recommendation seriously, it may affect your recovery.

For example, occipital neuralgia, cervical spondylosis and cervical radiculopathy can cause severe cervical pain and immediate attention should be the norm.

We highly recommend booking an appointment as soon as possible to avoid the pain or injury getting worse. As mentioned earlier, if you get occipital neuralgia, cervical spondylosis or cervical radiculopathy, it is best to seek physiotherapy immediately as it can cause severe cervical pain
